Are you looking for great Arizona locations that will also accomodate your four-legged best friend? Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA) is a great place to take your family and your dog. We love the BTA. It is a beautiful, peaceful, quiet, spiritual place to go. Kids have the children's gardens plus other beautiful stops, dogs are welcome, and this is truly a worthwhile outdoor adventure for everyone. If you aren't able to walk far, you can still find soul soothing spots with benches to rest. If you are a vigorous hiker, you will have many wonderful trails to follow.
BTA even hosts an annual event for dogs and their families. Check out 2025's Tails and Trails. So if you are wanting to take your family dogs out for a great, fun outdoor trip, plus see a historic and peaceful Arizona location, I can't praise Boyce Thompson in Superior, Arizona enough.
Our beautiful Aussiedoodle mother, Blue, loves hiking at Boyce Thompson Arboretum.

She loves running the Labyrinth with the kids, has fun meeting the other hikers and dogs, and seems to smile the whole time that she is here. I am sure that long hikes and lots of love were some of the key ingredients to her large litter of Aussiedoodle puppies last summer.
