F1 Labradoodle Puppies for sale: What is a Labradoodle?
A standard labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a standard poodle. This was the first "designer dog". Labs and poodles were crossbred starting in 1989 to help people with allergies who also needed a therapy dog. While we socialize puppies and try to give them a good foundation for service work, we personally think they are great family dogs because they are so smart and eager to please. Many of our puppy families love their F1 Labradoodle because they need an allergy friendly dog, but also have fond memories of a beloved Labrador.

At this time, we only breed F1 Labradoodle Puppies. An F1 Labradoodle means that the puppies are 50% Labrador Retriever and 50% Standard Poodle.
F1 Labradoodle Puppies for sale: Why We Love F1 Labradoodles
You may wonder why we love the 50/50 Labradoodle hybrid. It is because of their wonderful temperaments and their low to no shed coats.
Labrador Retrievers are one of America's favorite dogs for a reason. They have calm, trusting personalities and they love to be a part of the family. While they love (and need) a good daily walk and a good game of fetch, they are also content to be with you and to relax with you. I love that my labs enjoy playing fetch with me and enjoy a nice long walk, but that they also aren't super high needs. They can self entertain while I am cooking dinner or playing with the toddlers and they just enjoy lounging around the house with me.
The poodle contributes a keen intelligence, eagerness to please and his hypoallergenic coat. Poodles are considered the 2nd most intelligent dog, not only because of how smart they are, but because they are highly trainable. This helps contribute to the overall temperament of the Labradoodle puppy, making them easy to train and eager to please their new family.

F1 Labradoodle Puppies for sale: Standard Labradoodle Puppies
At this time, we only offer Standard Sized F1 Labradoodle puppies for sale. They usually range from 55-80 lbs when fully grown. While we do our best to predict their size when fully grown, the genetic makeup of F1 Standard Labradoodles makes it difficult to be exact in our predictions. If you need a small dog, an F1 Labradoodle puppy may not be the right choice.
F1 Labradoodle Puppies for sale: Coat and Trait Types
We think we have beautiful puppies. You will notice that we have puppies with three different coat types. We have found that we have F1 Labradoodle puppies with:
1. the fleece or wavy coat
2. the wire haired coat
3. very straight hair
All are very popular with our puppy familes for various reasons. The wavier the puppy, the less shedding and the more hypoallergenic they are; while the straight haired puppies look more like a lab but have considerably less shedding than a full Lab. The wire-haired and straight haired puppies also require less grooming than their wavier counterparts. Our reports from most of our families is "no shedding" from the hypoallergenic, fleece haired labradoodle puppies. Our families with the wire-haired labradoodles and straight haired labradoodles report minimal shedding; less than 1/4 as much as many of them experienced with their non-hypoallergenic dogs.
